Postby markoffshore » Mon Jun 14, 2010 2:27 pm

Does anyone know the number or percentage of adults in NZ who have a credit or Debit card ?

I don't have any idea but I would think it is a lot. Most of the adults I know have some credit card debt. I know a lot of them are working hard to get them paid off.

I think having a card is fine, but you should pay it off each month.

I think it's somewhere between 45 and 50% Not as high as I would've expected, but maybe that's due to all the credit card debt out there.

I have noticed that it is not as easy to get a credit card as it was. For me that is motivation to always make sure I am responsible with the one credit card that I have.

I think that's the main reason why companies are so strict in giving out credit cards these days. They only want the most responsible one's having them
